📌 Who The Black Law Network is for
This pathway is designed for students who:
-
Are currently in Sixth Form or about to enter Sixth Form
-
Are based in the United Kingdom
-
Are seriously interested in pursuing law as a future career
-
Are willing to actively engage in BLN programmes and events
BLN is a commitment-based network. Membership is not passive.
🔒 Why applications are closed
Since September, the BLN leadership team has been working to ensure the network remains:
-
Supportive
-
Impactful
-
Well-resourced
To do this, we have made the decision to be intentional about who joins BLN.
This allows us to deliver meaningful opportunities, tailored support, and strong representation for members who are ready to show up.
🤍 Already a BLN member?
If you joined BLN before these changes, you may remain a member indefinitely, provided you remain active.
Activity is tracked through:
-
Event attendance
-
Mentoring programmes
-
Campaigns and initiatives
Inactive memberships may be reviewed annually.
📅 Access to BLN events
-
In-person events: Open to BLN members only
-
Online events: Open to everyone, including non-members and those not yet eligible to join
You do not need to be a BLN member to attend online sessions.
